“I used HWA in an introductory critical thinking and argument analysis class. The class attracts around 65 students from many different majors and schools (including Engineering and Music). One component of the class’ grade was to complete the HWA course. It was wonderful to have the videos and class materials from HWA as both extra content and review of similar content we covered in class. One of the best things about HWA is that it gave tons of automatically graded practice exercises and materials for the students. I find it very hard to have that much practice mapping exercises (and especially to grade them) in this class. Having the students use HWA to get immediate automatic feedback on many exercises was really great. Students had a lot of fun with the HWA, and my sense is that it really improved their argument analysis skills.”
